•••Welcome to the Storts Market Blog and our little corner of the world! A market is a place where people gather together for the purpose of purchasing and selling commodities. This market is a gathering of inspiration for quilting, crafting and art. I have transitioned LSQuilts.com into StortsMarket.com. This change will make it easier to find us at our Blog and at our Etsy shop. And when I say us, I’m talking about myself and my daughters who are involved with a variety of projects. So, come along with us on our journey in exploring and looking at beautiful and interesting finds and creations.•••

I’ve always been a doodler and loved art from an early age. I picked up my first fabric, a pink and white checked gingham, at 9 years old and cross-stitched my name. In 1996, my mom started quilting and her inspiration motivated me to make my first quilt in 1998. I found a pattern in a book from the library, changed the colors to make a Christmas quilt and pieced it together. I even quilted and bound it! I enjoy working with all kinds of fabric mediums and threads. I enjoy sewing with my machine and doing handwork.
