Glass Reveal #10

1–2 minutes

read

Join me for my 10th video of revealing my glass collection. There are 2 boxes that I unpack in this video. The first box has a collection of glass swans. The second box of glass had been previously matched with fabric, however I couldn’t remember what was in the box. There are so many treasures in these 2 boxes.

The swans on the left with the long necks were sent to me by a friend in Italy. They are so beautiful with their elongated necks and sculptured glass. The multicolored swans on the right are part of a collection I’ve been adding to for years. The swans are sitting out and and inspiring me as I actively look for fabrics to match up with them. It is a labor of love.

The image on the left was in my second box of this reveal. I had forgotten about this beautiful inkwell stand and heavy glass. The detail on the brass is exquisite. The brass base provides a way to corral sewing tools and is so pretty. Shortly after I rediscovered my piece, I was out antiquing with my aunt and found the same set for sale. I do not have the brass lids, but everything else is a match.

So many beautiful pieces including trinket boxes which make fun pincushions.
